Basic Beginner Patchwork
Brilliant morning!
I’ve always wanted to try patchwork, but was put off because I thought it was too hard to get accuracy, and I’m really picky about seams matching etc! However, this class showed me how to achieve amazing results so easily. I had a great time! Ann is a very patient teacher and can explain things step by step so everyone in the class made fabulous Ohio Star blocks. Highly recommended!!

Beginner Painless Patchwork
This workshop takes one traditional Ohio Star patchwork block and shows how it and many other designs can be made painlessly, using sneaky tips which mean that you never have to cut awkward shapes, sew points together, stitch a tricky seam or get wonky blocks ever again! Your points will all meet where they should and friends will marvel at your skills!!
You can choose your own colour scheme from our fabric stash and you’ll make at least one, or possibly two, beautiful patchwork blocks that will be ideal for cushion covers or anything you choose.
You will need to bring your own sewing machine and any favourite sewing tools, but everything else is provided and the class runs for 4 hours.
You’ll learn about –
- easy, accurate cutting
- use of a rotary cutter and mat
- preparing the patches
- quilting rulers and how to use them
- tricks to get your block perfectly matched
- pressing and finishing
