Medieval-Style Leather Journal Workshop

Digital may be king today, but there will always be a place in the world for real books with pages and covers.

There are few crafts more satisfying than making your own beautiful traditionally bound books.

This 4-hour workshop will teach you the skills needed to create your own 140 page Medieval-style soft leather bound A5 journal, which also makes a fabulous gift (if you can bear to part with it!!) These skills can then be adapted to make almost any size of journal.

The journal is made with top quality genuine leather and uses a traditional and historically-appropriate method of stitching in the pages. Once your journal is full, it is a simple matter to remove the old pages and stitch in a new set if you wish. The closure strap is also a traditional Medieval feature and allows expansion room for the addition of anything you’d like to leaf in with the pages.

The fee for the workshop includes:

• All materials needed to make your journal and a stitching reminder handout to take home
